The ridge, in order
The van does not start the sightseeing. The square does. Shoes come off at the Blue Mosque. Prayer can pause that visit. Friday is the long pause. The Hippodrome is outside and needs no ticket. Hagia Sophia is the visitor route already in the 230 euros, security line included. Interior commentary is short because the building is a mosque.
Topkapı is the heavy block. One hundred and sixty-five minutes with the Harem is a normal palace, not a photo stop at the first gate. Hagia Irene sits in that same ticket on this product. After lunch the lanes are the Grand Bazaar, not a second museum. If the group is walking slowly, the bazaar shrinks. The hotel drop does not move to 19:00 to save it.
What this day refuses
Istanbul in one day fails when the inbox adds a second hill. These are the adds we turn down on the 230 euro voucher.
- A Bosphorus boat. That is two hours and a pier time. It lives on the longer day, from 290 euros, about 09:00 to 18:30, on the deluxe full-day tour. One finale only: the boat or Balat.
- Galata or a second palace after Topkapı. The afternoon becomes a queue and a climb.
- The cistern on a day that is not Tuesday. It is not in the 230 euros except when it replaces the closed palace.
- Two half-days taped together and called a discount. The morning meet is a different product: 08:00 to 13:00 from 125 euros, no hotel Vito, on the morning half-day. The palace afternoon is 13:00 to 17:00 from 165 euros, on the afternoon half-day.
If a flight shares the date
The airport car is not this tour. Istanbul Airport to Sultanahmet is 48 km, 45 to 60 minutes, 45 euros for the vehicle, up to 6 passengers and 6 bags, Gate 9, point CEO 34. Sabiha Gökçen is 65 km, 75 to 95 minutes, 50 euros, pillar 10. Landing to a key is about 2.5 to 3 hours from IST and 3 to 3.5 hours from SAW. A 14:00 landing does not reach a 09:00 pickup. Book Istanbul Airport to Sultanahmet for the night before, and the sightseeing for the next morning.
A same-night flight ends the day when the return car starts, not at sunset. We want you at IST about three hours before an international departure, and at SAW four hours or more. Book Sultanahmet to Istanbul Airport as its own confirmation. Two hotel nights, with a real middle day, are the 2 day itinerary. This page assumes the middle day already exists.
Tuesday and Sunday
Tuesday closes Topkapı and the Harem. The standard day then uses the Basilica Cistern ticket instead, at no extra fee. The cistern is about forty minutes, not 165. The rest of the ridge still runs: Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque between prayers, the Hippodrome, and the Grand Bazaar. That closed-day map is Istanbul on Tuesday. Sunday closes the Grand Bazaar. The day uses the Spice Bazaar or Arasta. Do not keep a covered-lane promise on a Sunday voucher.
