A family of four is not four adult tickets. Enter each age. A four-year-old adds nothing to the private total. A nine-year-old adds half the adult line. A thirteen-year-old is an adult on these pages. The guide is English-speaking and stays with your party only. Another language is a note. The istanbul family tour that fits a hotel outside Sultanahmet is the 230 euro row, because the half days do not collect you. Deluxe adds one finale only: a group cruise of about two hours, or Balat. Not both, and not a yacht. With tired children, stop at standard.
One family, added up
Take two adults, a four-year-old, and a nine-year-old. On the morning page the adults are 125 euros each and the nine-year-old is half, 62.50 euros. The four-year-old is free. The morning total is 312.50 euros before VAT, not 500. On the standard page the adults are 230 euros each and the nine-year-old is 115. The same family is 575 euros before VAT, and that price includes the hotel van, lunch, the gallery, and Topkapı with the Harem.
The afternoon uses the same bands on 165 euros. Two adults and the nine-year-old are 412.50 euros before VAT. Topkapı, the Harem, Hagia Irene, and the gallery are in that figure. Lunch is not. You still meet on foot.
A shared Spanish morning is a different product, from 60 euros per person, 08:30 to 13:00, maximum 15, on the morning in Spanish. It does not use this private child table. Read that page before you assume a six-year-old is half. The gallery there is optional at 25 euros on site. The full shared day, with lunch and a cruise, is from 100 euros and still does not include Topkapı.
On foot with children
The morning meet is a pin in Sultanahmet. The istanbul family tour at 08:00 is this square and the gallery, not Topkapı. Leave suitcases at the hotel. The gallery needs a passport or photo ID, security, and a queue in high season. The guide briefs outside. Commentary inside is restricted. The Blue Mosque is free when it is open. Shoes come off, so pack socks the children will actually keep on. Shoulders and knees stay covered. Women and older girls should bring a scarf. Prayer can close the visit. Friday midday is the long pause. If the mosque is shut, the guide moves that stop to Küçük Ayasofya or Süleymaniye.
Cobbles, slopes, and security lanes make a stroller a poor tool for the gallery and for Topkapı. A carrier is the calmer choice for a child who is free on the price and still small enough to be carried. The Hippodrome itself is an open square and an easy pause: obelisk, Serpentine Column, German Fountain, no ticket. Sunday the Grand Bazaar is closed. The short market walk uses the Spice Bazaar, Arasta, or Cankurtaran. Tuesday does not change the morning, because Topkapı is not in the 125 euros. When the van is worth it

The airport is separate
The tour van is not the airport car. Istanbul Airport to Sultanahmet is 48 km, 45 to 60 minutes, 45 euros for the vehicle, up to 6 passengers and 6 bags, Gate 9, point CEO 34. Sabiha Gökçen is 65 km, 75 to 95 minutes, 50 euros, pillar 10. Book Istanbul Airport to Sultanahmet on its own, and the return on Sultanahmet to Istanbul Airport. An 08:00 meet needs the family already in the Old City. A morning landing can still make 13:00 after the bags are dropped. Be at IST about three hours before an international departure, and at SAW four hours or more.
