Istanbul Grand Bazaar: Essential 6 Sunday Checks

Holiday Tips 👁️ 50

Istanbul Grand Bazaar from a licensed operator: 6 Sunday checks, 40-60 minute finish, and which Colina IST runs to book.

Istanbul Grand Bazaar on Colina Rojo Travel is six Sunday checks, not a second palace. Kapalıçarşı is shut Sunday. Monday to Saturday it is a 40 to 60 minute finish after the ridge, not a half-day interior. Standard from €230 holds the lanes on open days. Friday is mosque prayer, not these shutters. Book IST to Sultanahmet at a fixed €45, SAW at €65, Gate 9 CEO 34, before you walk to Beyazit.

Istanbul Grand Bazaar plans fail when you hang Kapalıçarşı on a Sunday, or treat the lanes as a second palace. The covered market is a forty to sixty minute finish after the ridge, Monday to Saturday. Sunday the shutters

are down. We walk this as a licensed Istanbul operator, TÜRSAB 16602. This page is the six Sunday checks we write on the Build Your Own Istanbul Tour planner before you leave the hotel: closed day, minutes, which product holds the finish, Friday versus Sunday, what you still cut, and which IST run to lock so Beyazit is not your first argument after a flight.

City night-count without these lanes is Hagia’s how many days in Istanbul. A ready one-day sequence that can hold a short bazaar finish lives on Istanbul in one day. Confirm one brand. Do not hold two live carts.

Sunday shuts the lanes, not the city

Kapalıçarşı is closed Sunday. The square is not. Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque still run. The cistern still runs. Topkapı still runs unless it is also Tuesday. Guests land on a Sunday, walk to Beyazit, and photograph locked gates. That is not a bazaar visit. Put the lanes on a weekday. Put Sunday on the ridge, a neighbourhood, or the water. Municipality orientation for the historic peninsula sits on ibb.istanbul. Ground timing stays on this page.

If Sunday is also your only full day, do not buy a standard product hoping the bazaar will open because you flew far. Standard still holds the ridge and a palace or cistern. It does not invent shops behind shutters. Built-day sequencing is Hagia’s how to plan a private Istanbul tour.

Print the table. If a listing promises the bazaar on a Sunday morning, it is a five-night postcard wearing a weekend title.

Check What you do What you still cut
1. Sunday is shut Move the lanes to Monday through Saturday A Beyazit photo of locked doors as the souvenir
2. Forty to sixty minutes One finish after the ridge, not a half-day interior Treating the bazaar like Topkapı
3. Standard holds it on open days Standard full-day from €230 ends in the lanes when they are open Hanging the same finish on a Sunday cart
4. Morning can hold a short finish Morning half-day from €125 can exit toward the bazaar if the day is open Two heavy interiors plus a shop crawl before 13:00
5. Friday is not Sunday Friday pauses the Blue Mosque visitor door around prayer. Sunday closes these shops Mixing the two calendars. Mosque manners: Istanbul mosque etiquette
6. IST doors first IST to Sultanahmet and Sultanahmet to IST booked before you fly A 14:00 landing and a same-day bazaar fantasy

Those six are an Istanbul Grand Bazaar visit as we sell it. The cistern is a different door and a different operator. That desk is live: Basilica Cistern. Partner clocks for the same water hall sit on Hagia as Basilica Cistern.

Istanbul Grand Bazaar calendar: Monday to Saturday open, Sunday lanes shut, 40-60 minute finish

A finish, not a half day

The walk from the Hippodrome to Nuruosmaniye is about ten minutes. Inside, we do not do a three-hour carpet seminar unless you booked that on purpose. Forty to sixty minutes is a lane, a tea, one shop you meant to enter, and out toward Beyazit. Stacking gallery plus Harem plus bazaar on a half day is how lunch becomes 16:00 and nobody buys anything because everyone is hungry. Tick one heavy interior. Watch the minutes on the planner.

On four nights you can put the lanes on their own late morning. That extra night is live: Istanbul 4 day itinerary. Hagia’s hour map for the same extra night is Istanbul 4 day itinerary. On two nights the bazaar is the first thing you cut if the ridge is the point: Istanbul 2 day itinerary. Three nights still force water or hill after this square: Istanbul 3 day itinerary.

Which Colina clock still holds the bazaar

Hours Product Bazaar
08:00 to 13:00 Morning half-day from €125 Short finish when open. Meet in Sultanahmet. No Vito. No Sunday
13:00 to 17:00 Afternoon half-day from €165 Not the point of this clock. Gallery plus palace or cistern. Tuesday map: Istanbul on Tuesday
09:00 to 17:00 Standard full-day from €230 The usual weekday finish. Skip the lanes on Sunday. Vito, lunch, one heavy interior
09:00 to 18:30 Deluxe full-day from €290 Ridge in the morning, then one finale. Bazaar is not the finale. Water or Balat is

Children 0 to 5 join free. Ages 6 to 11 pay half. Minimum two adults. Guides work in English, Spanish or Russian. The guide fee is fixed for the booking, not per head. The money line is Istanbul private tour cost. Door order for the two monuments before you walk to Nuruosmaniye is Hagia’s Blue Mosque vs Hagia Sophia.

Friday is the mosque, Sunday is the shutters

Friday midday prayer can pause the Blue Mosque visitor door. The bazaar usually still trades. Sunday shuts the bazaar and does not shut the mosque. Do not write “weekend” on the cart as if Friday and Sunday were the same problem. Tuesday still closes Topkapı, not these shops. If your only interior day is Tuesday, keep the cistern Plan B and still walk the bazaar if it is not Sunday. Two closed logics. Two different pages.

The first evening after IST is not a bazaar hour. Walk the Hippodrome. Eat five minutes from the door. That night is first day in Istanbul. The square-only version on the partner brand is first evening in Sultanahmet. Which airport you should have chosen is Istanbul Airport vs Sabiha Gokcen.

Book the IST doors before Beyazit

An Istanbul Grand Bazaar weekday finish does not start at Nuruosmaniye if you landed at 14:00. Istanbul Airport is 48 km and 45 to 60 minutes from Sultanahmet. Sabiha Gökçen is 65 km and 75 to 95. Landing to a key is two and a half to three hours from IST. A 10:00 IST arrival can still make an afternoon lane. A 13:00 arrival is an evening courtyard photo. Do not buy the morning product for a Sunday landing and expect shops.

Book the inbound before you fly: Istanbul Airport to Sultanahmet, private Mercedes Vito, six passengers, six bags, published at a fixed €45 for the vehicle. SAW is the longer twin at a fixed €65. Meet at IST Gate 9, CEO 34 on the pole, or SAW pillar 10, same sign. Child seats on the form. Compare Hagia’s Istanbul Airport to Sultanahmet twin, then confirm one inbound.

Book the return with the inbound: Sultanahmet to Istanbul Airport. A 16:00 IST ticket is a midday pickup. There is no bazaar that morning even on a weekday. Compare Hagia Sultanahmet to Istanbul Airport, then confirm one car. Pickup windows we use sit in how early to leave for Istanbul Airport.

Book the three pieces so the lanes are already solved: Colina Istanbul Airport to Sultanahmet, the tour planner with the bazaar ticked only on an open day, and Colina Sultanahmet to Istanbul Airport. That is an Istanbul Grand Bazaar finish with the doors and the forty minutes on the same sitting.

Common questions

Is the Istanbul Grand Bazaar open on Sunday?

No. Shutters down. Put the lanes on Monday through Saturday. Sunday is ridge, water, or a neighbourhood.

How long should I spend inside?

Forty to sixty minutes as a finish. Not a half-day interior. One heavy ticket already used up the morning.

Does standard include it on Sunday?

The product still runs. The shops do not. We skip the lanes and keep the rest of the clock.

Is Friday the same problem?

No. Friday is a mosque prayer pause. Sunday is the bazaar close. Keep them on different lines of the cart.

Can I do bazaar and Topkapı on a Tuesday?

Tuesday closes the palace, not the bazaar. Use the cistern Plan B, then the lanes if it is not Sunday. Live map: Istanbul on Tuesday.

Which transfers do I book?

Both legs before you fly. IST to Sultanahmet and Sultanahmet to IST. Compare Hagia, then confirm one per leg.

Is two days enough for the bazaar?

Enough for a short finish if you land kind and it is not Sunday. Not enough if the ridge is already tight. Use the 2-day itinerary.

Where do I tick the lanes?

On the Build Your Own Istanbul Tour planner. Open day only. Watch the minutes.
